A new trend on loforo. Blogs posting spam that looks like adverts and nothing else, with the blog url some times referring to that. I don't like such blogs, so I'll be blocking anything like that as soon as I spot them. Such accounts are recently registered and don't have many posts, and the captcha should be improved, now bots can easily solve that.

Loforo did a thing...

Trying to view Loforo on mobile frequently results in broken images, usually loading of them slowed to crawl. While using a 4G connection other sites loads fine, but the primary image host (thumbsnap) is painfully slow. Can't even view images properly some times as they fail to load.

Those videos are hosted on thumbsnap and are still not properly loading. When trying to view such videos on new tab using browser feature to view such video the is redirected to actual video page but the browser shows error like the video was corrupt or in unsupported format. Checking browser console shows 404 page on final url. It appears there's still something wrong or messed up on thumbsnap causing videos not showing properly, like not finished processing, not moved to right place or other unknown problem, etc.

is just me or we're getting more spam post in last 3 days, incl "amateur" porn that bypasses the global hide nsfw setting?

It appears that the default image hosting provider on loforo is randomly deleting images w/o discretion. This generates alot of broken image posts with images leading to a 404 page. Loforo should either stop using thumbsnap and use alternative service or alternately host images on itself like it was before since a service that randomly deletes content is not reliable for job that it was given.

Edit: it appears that the missing images and videos reappear after some time since they'd been gone, this might be some issue on thumbsnap end and/or they're being restored there where I don't know which is an actual cause being there. Read More »

so, unlike on soup it seems its impossible to delete post from groups - even if you are a member of one. i did accidently sent one post somewhere where it shouldnt be and i cant remove it.

There's no such ability. I can't find an easy way to export your blog, it could make things harder as saving images/text/videos/etc. manually would take time, esp. for blogs with a lot of content. A zip archive should be a good option with a size limit where it could be split into pieces for easier storage.

A Notification type filter option that allows you to filter the Notifications by the type of notification has now been added (Comments/replies, Reposts/likes, Follows, or the default unfiltered).

When using loforo on mobile phone I usually encounter slow connection issues where images do not load, while other sites load fine. On the desktop site works fine. Screenshot:

Just a quick update -- there is now a post filter option that allows you to filter the post list by the "status" (Published, Draft, Queued).
