This is what you can do with a couple of magnets and a kit with multiple build options.

That was quite a bit of work. Basically just 4 colors: red, brass, bone, black

But I think I nailed it decently.

Result: 3 games, 3 losses. 14 VP altogether. Against Aeldari, Chaos Space Marines and Death Guard.

All are painted parade ready and based.

So I got to the old Khorne Berserkers. And since I painted red and brass a lot in the last months, I went for an alternate paintjob. 

So, from left to right, you see the approach:

1. Priming/Grounding: Citadel Base Corax White

2. Inking recesses. Vallejo Game Color Red Wash (sadly comes out rather pink than red)

3. Secondary Base: Citadel Contrast Leviadon Blue (as almost always, I keeled the open pot over. Well, let's call that a sacrifice to the paint god.)

4. Details. Metal parts: Vallejo Game Color Dark Gunmetal, inked with Vallejo Game Color Black Wash.

GW WH40k Boarding Patrol Scenery, two flavours: Nurgle (rot) and Khorne (blood)

Well, she got some backup dancers...

So... some more WH40K content. This is Combat Patrol: Orks.

One of the hardest painting projects so far. Because this box SUCKS. 25 miniatures. 24 of it Monopose. 

I was critical of the new Boys kit before. It turned out to be even worse.

No way to build a squad according to the rulebooks. Had to dive into my bitsbox for some ACCEPTABLE kitbashing. Then I realized: They are not even the SAME SCALE. 

These are not minis for the game. They are glorified placeholders. Less for more cash. 

Which equals to: no fun painting and thinking about how to field them.

In der Hauptsache habe ich hier Washes aufgetragen:

Metall - Vallejo Black Wash

Rest: Agrax Earthshade

Der Haut des Waaghbosses habe ich noch Akzente in Warpstone Green spendiert.

Zur 'Tarnlackierung': Auf Jokaero Orange kleine längliche Dreiecke mit Ushabti Bone und Caliban Green.

Basis: Martian Ironcrust Technical, Wash: Agrax Earthshade, Drybrush: Trollslayer Orange.

Sobald ich ein anständiges Foto hinbekomme, kommt er in Parade Ready.

Hab doch mal die Box anschauen wollen. Leider 24 von 25 Modellen "easy to build" - stimmt, ich hatte Ü-Eier-Inhalte, die schwerer zusammen zu bauen waren. Und die aus soliderem Plastik waren. (GW, you fucked up.)

Also muss der Spaß beim Bemalen kommen. (Die haben gesagt, Kleber sei nicht nötig...stimmt nicht. Lockere Teile, Spalten im Modell...)

Rüstung: Jokaero Orange Base.

Ork: Ork Flesh Contrast

Grot: Plaguebearer Flesh (2 Schichten! Die Farbe kommt sonst nicht gut rüber.)

Der Goff Rokka ist bereit für den Auftritt!

Erste Partie WH40k ever. Leider verloren... Aber ich war der letzte, der vom Tisch geräumt wurde. Nach 14 Runden.

Das hier ist was besonderes. Noch 3 Modelle, dann hab ich das geschafft, was ich mir beim Anfang als Maler vorgenommen hab: die gesamte 4. Kompanie. 110 Space Marines. Alle handbemalt. Alle im klassischen Stil, also ohne Contrast - Farben.
